They believe that with this extra €30 million it will see the arts sector return to somewhat normal levels when it is ready. It will help go towards the maintenance of wage supports, a review of taxation practice, a capital funding scheme for arts buildings and fair remuneration for artists are among the recommendations.

They have warned that without the proper support now that the sector won’t experience the employment levels of 2019 until at least 2025.

She believes that throughout the next few months, that it’ll be hard for the sector to go back to normal and that the two meter distancing rule will hamper festivals and events.
